Keep Cool as a Cucumber

Beat the heat with easy DIY!
Summer is here, we enjoy outdoor activities, our bodies start to overheat, cooling foods like Cucumbers are to the rescue, they are also healthy for your skin, they rejuvenate, hydrate, and tighten the pores.
Here are easy refreshing recipes to cool with on those hot summer days!


Cucumber Face Summer Splash

1 Cucumber
1 Tablespoon Aloe vera Juice or witch-hazel
1 Sprig Of mint leaves or a couple of drops Peppermint oil
1 Spray Bottle
Steep mint leaves in boiling water and set aside to cool, strain the juice of the cucumber, and combine it with aloe vera juice, add the cooled mint water, pour into a spray bottle, keep stored in the refrigerator, It will stay fresh for a week. The cucumber and aloe vera/witch-hazel will act as astringents, and the mint water will help cool and refresh your skin.

Cucumber Mint Lassi1 cucumber
1 Cup Cold Water
1 Cup Organic Plain yogurt
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
A sprig of fresh mint
combine the Cucumber, Yogurt, and water and blend in a blender until smooth and frothy, add ice and salt and continue to blend until ice is crushed, add the Mint leaves and blend until frothy, Pour into tall chilled glasses and garnish with sprigs of mint and Serve.
