Rosehip is one of the key ingredients available for skin rejuvenation and skin cell regeneration, improves skin color and elasticity, diminishes scars and pits, reduces stretch marks. Although its aesthetic properties, which contribute to your self-confidence and help create your own glow, rosehip have an important role in the mechanisms of immune activation within the skin and your regimens of good health. If you are looking for something that can help the appearance of your skin and even repair unhealthy damages caused by aging and lifestyle, rosehip oil is one of the perfect natural solutions that will find a way into your daily skincare routine.

The benefits of rosehip seed oil have been recognized by the mysterious Inca civilization for centuries due to its healing benefits to the skin. It is derived from the leftover seed pods after the petals of the rose fall off. Very famous for its high content of vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B3, and K, it has high regenerative and healing properties. Also known as trans-retinoic acid, research shows that topical vitamin A is effective in helping to prevent premature aging caused by sun exposure.

The vitamin A in rosehip oil reduces the activity of skin-damaging enzymes that lead to the breakdown of collagen and elastin. Composed of nearly 80% essential fatty acids, including omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, rosehip oil helps repair the signs of premature aging and delays their appearance, helps to regenerate skin cells and to repair damaged skin tissue, and reduces expression lines such as those at the neck or around the eyes, and improve the color and texture of scars.

Despite many benefits, one of the most important for the skin is that rosehip oil also activates cells of the inner layers and encourages the production of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the dermis. Rosehip oil is rich in a variety of antioxidants, including beta-carotene and lycopene, which help to protect and repair skin. The lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, in rosehip oil has many health benefits. Beta-Carotene – a powerful antioxidant to stave off damaging free radicals.

Rose Hip Scientific Studies
In 1988 two researchers revealed their findings of application of active components contained in rosehip oil. In a two-year study, rosehip oil was applied to 180 patients with surgical, traumatic, and burn scars, as well as to a group suffering from premature aging of the skin. The results were outstanding. Researchers found that the application of rosehip oil effectively mitigated scars and wrinkles, halted the progress of premature aging, and restored lost skin natural color and tone.
